Google Business Profile is the free listing that controls how a business appears in Google Search and Maps, including name, category, address, hours, photos, reviews, and attributes.
Why it matters in senior living
For senior-living communities it is the single most influential source for Google AI Overviews, which draw on Google's own entity data and review signals before anything else. Inconsistent names, missing care-type categories, and unanswered reviews all weaken the profile.
It matters less for ChatGPT and Perplexity, which read the open web, but a clean profile also feeds the directories those engines cite.
