“AI rank” (why it does not exist)
Also: AI ranking · ChatGPT rank · rank in ChatGPT
An “AI rank” would be a stable position of a business within an AI assistant's answers; no such position exists, because generative engines return a different set and order of names nearly every time the same question is asked.
Why it matters in senior living
The appeal is obvious: SEO has rankings, so surely AI does too. But a ranking requires the same answer to come back on repeated queries, and it does not. Run “best assisted living in Dallas” on ChatGPT ten times and the list changes in membership and in order. Any single answer, and any “rank” read off it, is noise.
What is stable is frequency. Across fifty runs, a community that appears in forty of them is genuinely more visible than one that appears in five. That is a rate, and it is the only honest way to describe AI visibility.
Any vendor promising to get a community “ranked #1 in ChatGPT” is promising something that cannot be measured, let alone delivered.
How Nuovee treats it
Nuovee never reports a rank. Every number is a visibility rate with a confidence band, and the product has a test that fails if a position field ever reaches the API.
