Care types
Also: levels of care
Care types are the categories of senior-living service a community offers, chiefly independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and respite, each with its own family questions, pricing, and expected length of stay.
Why it matters in senior living
They matter for AI visibility because families ask by care type (“memory care near me”, not “senior living near me”), and engines answer by care type. A community can be visible for assisted living and invisible for its memory-care wing.
They matter for attribution because LTV and referral fees differ by care type: memory care carries the highest fees and the shortest stays.
