Questions families ask us
- How much does memory care cost in Houston?
- Houston memory care typically runs $5,500 to $8,000 per month. At Evergreen Court it starts around $6,300/month, all-inclusive — we'll quote your family's exact level of care after a short assessment, with no surprises.
- What's the difference between assisted living and memory care?
- Assisted living is for seniors who need help with daily tasks but are largely independent; memory care adds a secure setting and dementia-specialized staff and programming. Having both on one campus means a resident can transition without leaving the community they know.
- How do I know when it's time for memory care?
- Signs include wandering, missed or doubled medications, kitchen or driving safety incidents, and worsening evening confusion. If you're worn out or worried about safety, let's talk it through — we'll give you an honest recommendation.
- Does Evergreen Court handle wandering, medications, mobility, and special diets?
- Yes — the memory-care neighborhood is secured for wandering, nurses manage all medications, the community is fully accessible, and our kitchen handles diabetic, low-sodium, renal, and texture-modified diets.
- How quickly can someone move in?
- Assisted-living moves are usually one to two weeks. Memory care currently has a short waitlist — tell us your timeframe and we'll let you know exactly where things stand.
- Do you accept VA benefits, long-term care insurance, or Medicaid waiver?
- We accept VA Aid & Attendance and most long-term care insurance and help you file. We don't currently accept the Medicaid STAR+PLUS waiver; if that's your route, we'll refer you to trusted Houston communities that do.
